Cheder Menachem Preschool is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and nurturing Art Teacher to join our growing early childhood team for the upcoming school year.

We welcome applicants with degrees in Art Education, Fine Arts, Early Childhood Education, or related fields, as well as experienced artists and educators who are passionate about teaching young children.

We're Looking for Someone Who:
  • Has a genuine love for young children and the creative process.
  • Brings warmth, enthusiasm, professionalism, and patience to every class.
  • Has experience teaching art, early childhood education, or working with children.
  • Holds (or is pursuing) a degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (preferred).
  • Understands child development and how young children learn through exploration and hands-on experiences.
  • Encourages creativity while helping children build confidence, fine motor skills, and self-expression.
  • Works collaboratively with classroom teachers and school staff.
  • Is organized, dependable, and excited to contribute to a vibrant preschool community.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Planning and teaching engaging, developmentally appropriate art experiences for children ages 2–5.
  • Introducing a variety of art materials and techniques in a process-focused, child-centered environment.
  • Encouraging creativity, imagination, and joyful self-expression.
  • Integrating seasonal themes, Jewish holidays, and classroom learning into art experiences.
  • Preparing materials and maintaining an organized, inviting art space.
  • Collaborating with classroom teachers to support curriculum goals.
  • Displaying children's artwork in ways that celebrate each child's creativity.
  • Helping foster a lifelong appreciation for art and creative thinking.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Reggio Emilia-inspired education or process art.
  • Familiarity with Creative Curriculum and/or Teaching Strategies Gold.
  • Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practice.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
